The Secrest Ferry Bridge is located on the Monroe/Owen indiana county line, and crosses the west ford of the White River.

The Secrest Ferry bridge had a corrugated metal deck that was filled with an asphalt type material attached to the steel stringer beams.  This was replaced with a wooden deck. The project was completed in 2009.

The bridge is a very beautiful looking bridge, and is open only to pedestrians.  It can be seen in its entire length from a newer modern bridge which is just downstream from the Secrest Ferry bridge.

Eagles have been seen ‘fishing’ in the river while work was proceeding on the project.

Secrest Ferry Bridge
